A 47-Year-Old Man Arrested For Impregnating His 17-Year-Old Daughter

According to Daily Trust, Men of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a 47-year-old man for allegedly raping and impregnating his 17-year-old daughter. The suspect was identified as Uchenna Egbuchulem, of Nduhu Alaenyi, Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local government area of the state, Jeremy Spell Blog reports
The spokesman of the police command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said that the police, acting on information, stormed the man’s house and arrested him on Tuesday.
“On the 12/5/2020, upon a report received from a good Samaritan, operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters in Mbaitoli, arrested the above-named suspect for forcefully having carnal knowledge of his biological daughter to the extent of getting her pregnant,” Ikeokwu said.
He said that the mother of the victim (an Ivorian) had left the marriage and returned to her country. This, he said gave the father the privilege to sleep with his daughter, threatening to kill her with a machete on each of the occasions. Ikeokwu added that the command has launched an investigation into the incident with a view to bringing him to justice.
