PDP Ward Executive Committee Inaugurated In 168 Ward Of The State

The Peoples Democratic Party, ward executive committee members in Taraba state have been inaugurated in 168 wards of the state.

The ward Executive committee members who were sworn in by a Notary Public, John Okezie, Esq. Principal Counsel of Messrs J.N. Okezie and Associates in accordance with the provision of section 65 of the PDP constitution as amended in 2017 would be in office for a tenure of four years.

The ward Executive committee was inaugurated following a directive by the National Working Committee, NWC of the party in a letter dated April 2020 and signed by the National Organising Secretary, Colonel Austin Akobundu.

The National leadership of the Party had released the approved authentic list for  elected ward executives for all the 163 wards in Taraba state.

The statement further directed the state PDP Chairman, Hon. Victor Bala Kona to inaugurate the newly elected ward executive committee members (Officers) in accordance with the provisions of Section 65 of the party constitution as amended in 2017.

John Okezie, Esq. who had earlier verified the names of the newly elected ward executives administered the oath of office and the oath of allegiance individually on the newly elected executive committee members on Thursday, 30th April, 2020 by 8: 30am in accordance with section 65 of the party Constitution informed the newly elected ward executive committee members that having individually subscribed to the oath of office and oath of allegiance before him, it is the of the effect that they have been duly and lawfully sworn in to function in their various offices. The oath taking exercise was carried out low key mainly in compliance with the covid 19 order and regulation as prescribed by the state and Federal Government of Nigeria.
