The pair famously fell out on the set of 2017’s The Fate Of The Furious, and Johnson went to star in his own franchise spin-off Hobbs & Shaw.
Now, celebrating the success of the film which also starred Jason Statham, Johnson has thanked Diesel for his wedding congratulations and concluded his message by telling fans: ‘All roads lead to one thing, I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.’

Johnson played an FBI agent, Luke Hobbs, who hunted the racers including Toretto before later teaming up with them. ‘You have officially made Hobbs & Shaw not only a massive global success as we just crossed $750 million at the global box office, but also you helped to build up an expansion of the Fast & Furious universe,’ shared Johnson in an Instagram video.
He went on to add: ‘Lastly but not least I want to thank brother Vin for your support of Hobbs and Shaw.
‘I saw your post, and I appreciate it.
‘Lauren [Hashian] and I appreciate the wedding congratulations, we send love right back to you and Paloma, it was a very classy post and I appreciate it, brother.’
He continued: ‘As you know, and what a wild ride this is and has been, 10 years ago when you and I spoke you invited me to the Fast and Furious family.
‘I am grateful for the invite and my goal, as you know, all these years was to come into the Fast and Furious world and help elevate the franchise in any way I can, and if I can do that then I have done my job.’
He concluded: ‘Here we are 10 years later [with] this massively successful build-out and expansion and we did it the right way, the smart way.
‘I appreciate the support… and of course, all roads lead to one thing. I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.’
It’s not thought he will appear in Fast & Furious 9 which recently wrapped shooting and is due for release in May 2020, but he could be back for Fast & Furious 10, due for release in April 2021.
