Obstetric Fistula is one of the most dangerous injuries that occurs during childbirth. In Sub-Saharan Africa, a lot of young girls are at risk of having and living with fistula because of harmful traditional practices such as Early marriage and child birth.
Nigeria has about 400,000 to 800,000 cases of unrepaired Obstetric Fistula, If nothing is done about it there's a predicted number of additional 50,000 to 100,000 new cases, so Purple Voice Initiative have made a move towards bringing a solution to it.
