Taraba Based Foundation, Prevail foundation have released its 2020 annual report and achievements so far in the previous year.
According to the foundation Over 1000 persons have benefited from PREVAIL FOUNDATION in 2020. The fundraising foundation aimed at fighting issues surrounding orphans, internally displaced person's, widows, people with disabilities & health issues and so much more is focused on reducing the rate of these issues.
In 2020 PREVAIL FOUNDATION ran through series of outreaches despite the ongoing pandemic
• We kicked off 2020 with a Covid-19 food drive in partnership with ARISE NIGERIA CAMPAIGN GROUP. This outreach provided food materials for to over 100 families and over 200 persons.
• Being passionate about GIRL RIGHTS EDUCATION we embarked on a GIRL RIGHTS EDUCATION SEMINAR which took place at UMCN ORPHANAGE HOME, Housing over a 100 participants and 27 orphaned girls. With three speakers we were able to teach and train on several feminine topics. We exit the venue providing the participating orphaned girls with pads and washing materials.
• Due to the adverse effects of Covid-19 we embarked on a sensitization and provision of face masks to two primary schools in zing LGA of Taraba state, reaching a number of 50 students.
• Covid-19 has affected so many families in rural area so OK this note we provided two families with food stuffs to ease the living stress. This particular project was embarked off camera due to some reasons.
• We furthermore embarked on an online campaign against drug abuse. We got over 30 mass presence during the snapshots and major online.
