Nigeria Superstars Wrestlers In WWE You Never Heard About

Many of the WWE superstars who have thrilled us over the years from Booker T to The Rock to Mark Henry, are of African descent. But today, we want to take a look at WWE superstars who have Nigerian roots.

1.    Moose: Born Quinn Ojinnaka on April 23, 1984 to Nigerian parents, Moose is an American professional wrestler and former American football player. He is signed to Impact Wrestling and is a former two-time Impact Grand Champion.

2.    Apollo Crews: Born Sesugh Uhaa on August 22, 1987, American professional wrestler known by his ring name Apollo Crews, who is signed to WWE, is of Nigerian descent. His father is from Benue state.

Uhaa along with 10 other recruits was introduced to the NXT. This new group has seven international and four United States wrestlers to make it the most internationally-versed class yet.

He developed a solid reputation working for promotions like Dragon Gate USA and Japan.

The athlete began his journey into pro wrestling in 2009 with the help of veterans such as WWE alum Curtis Hughes at World Wrestling Alliance 4’s training school in Atlanta.

“I went to a military high school,” Uhaa said.

“Sports were my outlet and a way to get away from the military life. I wanted to play all year long. Athletics have always been my life. I didn’t want any point in time where I wasn’t doing something. I would go from one season to the next. At one point, I was doing two sports in one season.” he added

3.    Babatunde Lukasz Aiyegbusi: Born on May 26, 1988 to a Nigerian father and Polish mother, Babatunde is a professional wrestler and former American football player, signed to WWE.
