BREAKING NEWS: FG Declares June 12 Public Holiday To Mark Democracy Day.

The President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has declared Friday, June 12, as Public holiday to mark this year's Democracy Day celebration.

"The minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, made the declaration in a statement on Monday signed by the Permanent secretary in the ministry, Georgina Ehuriah".


The minister congratulated all Nigerians at home and in diaspora for the entrenchement of democractic rule in the country.
He also hailed the heroes of democracy for their dogged determination and sacrifice which eventually birthed Democratic Governance in Nigeria.

Aregbesola, a former Governor of Osun state, urged Nigerians to collaborate with the President Muhammadu Buhari- led administration to ensure the realization of the Democratic ideals which these patriots fought for, even at the cost of their lives.


He reassured Nigerians of the Federal Government's commitment to battling the scourge of COVID-19 with the cooperation of all Nigerians, He further advised Nigerians to take responsibility for the fight against the spread of this deadly virus.
