His Royal Highness Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi Kuvyo II, CON, The Aku Uka Of Wukari who is 83rd years old today calls for prayers and God's intervention in the current global pandemic that have hit earth

A press release by his media aide Jolly Agbu Masa- Ibi stated that his Royal Highness will not be celebrating his 83rd birthday but rather acknowledged the exceeding grace of God in his life and the goodwill of his family, colleague well wishers and loyal subjects

MESSAGE BY HIS MAJESTY, AKU UKA ON HIS 83RD BIRTHDAY 

As His Majesty, Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi Kuvyo II, CON, The Aku Uka adds another year today, he acknowledges the exceeding grace of God upon his life. In the same vein, he acknowledges the goodwill of his family, colleagues, well wishers and loyal subjects.

His Majesty's birthday this year turned up at a time that the world is battling with the Covid-19 pandemic with thousands of deaths across the globe. He considers it a time for conscious social action by individuals to keep the virus at bay and also a time to return to the creator.

Again, there has been another unfortunate eruption of civil clashes around Wukari mainly among Jukun and Tiv groups. His Majesty condemns the action in its entirety and considers  celebration of any kind an aberration in the face of these happenings. 

In the light of the foregoing therefore, there  will be no celebration of his birthday. Instead, he calls for prayers for God's intervention in the global pandemic as well as peace in his domain.

The Aku wishes to particularly appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State,  Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku for his role in fostering peace between the feuding parties as well as ensuring civil stability across the state. His Majesty therefore calls on  aggrieved parties to sheath their swords and embrace dialogue and peace at this time.

His Majesty finally wishes those that were affected by these ugly situations in whatever form, speedy recovery, seeks God’s mercy upon them and as well commits the souls of the departed ones to the Almighty God.
